First we made our maiden voyage camping trip for the year. I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive about it all, having a relative newbie and all, but it went great!

Lots of hours outside equals a filthy, sleepy boy!
Dirty little piggys!
Crashed out for nap time
The kids had a blast going from camper to camper (there were four families total- 8 adults and 10 kiddos), park to pool and back to the park.
Pool bound

Playing ball at the park
Jason brought along his RC car again, which is always a big hit. He used our dining room table to jump over little bodies and a wagon to give the kids rides.

Emma had a rough time most mornings due to busy days with no naps. One particular morning she had a meltdown because she felt her hair was 'crazy'.
It resulted in a large quantity of hair being pulled out after I placed her in her bunk to cool down. There are now a few thin spots- can't wait to see what it will look like as it grows back!
We decided to all go out to eat one night for a change of scenery. Okay, maybe it was more of a break for the mommas. It was quite the experience. They had set it up with one table for adults and one for the kids. Did I mention that the oldest kid in the group is 6?!? I'm sure we left an impression on the wait staff as well as fellow diners, but it was wildly entertaining and nice to not have to cook or clean up afterwards. Only one of the kids ran around on top of the table :)
The trip was capped off with a celebration of my 28th birthday. I woke up to my dear friend Lynds singing at the camper door with a hot cup of coffee in hand. She also did a fab job decorating the camper while we were at the pool.
My mom, step-dad and the boys joined us in the afternoon to spend time swimming in the pool and hanging out at the campground. We finished off the day with a large cake and sugar comas for all. Emma was allowed to stay up a little later too since it was our last night.
We came home Friday to unpack, do laundry and hit the road again. Our next destination was my grandma and grandpa's house. I didn't get a single picture of our weekend, but we spent lots of time hanging with family and enjoying the lake.
