Boating Adventure

After a busy birthday weekend we decided to top it off with a boating adventure today. We had a camping trailer we wanted to check out in Muskegon so we decided to try Mona Lake in Mona Shores.

It was a gorgeous day to be on the water! Everyone had a good time, even Easton after he fit in a short siesta on board.

We got in some swimming, sunning and all around great family time.

I love summer!

Hungry Horse {2014}

We had a blast on our first camping trip of the season this past week. There were four families consisting of 15 kids ages ranging from 8 years to 6 months.

Elissa did great on her first trip. I was a little concerned how everyone would do sleeping in the same space, but they did fairly well.

Turns out when she is really tired she will sleep anywhere!

She enjoyed her first Red Vine courtesy of aunt Lynds. It was a hit!

When we are camping Emma loves to get dirty. Clearly the proof is in the picture:

Easton doesn't mind being filthy either.

He also loved the small kiddie pool. I wasn't sure if he really likes the water, but I discovered he just wants to be able to touch and have some freedom.

Elissa didn't swim much, but she was happy to hang pool side with mommy and daddy.

Here is the entire crew minus miss Molly who was napping. It's impossible to get evyone to smile and look at the camera at the same time!

Oldies But Goodies

I discovered a few random gems while I was cleaning out our cell phones. I can't believe how much they have grown and changed!

Thing one and thing two hanging out in mommy and daddy's room, also at our old place.

Another Round of Selfies

Apparently while we were staying at my mom's Emma decided to take a few selfies while she had her hands on mom's phone. I had to share a few:

They totally made me giggle except for this last one. That one gives me a little glimpse of what the teenage years are going to look like!

Visit to the Lake

The kiddos and I headed to my mom's for a few days at the lake this week. Easton is in all his glory at grandma's with all the boys to play with.
Sometimes I'm not sure who enjoys the toys more :D

He is also working on his hockey-basketball game, silly kid.

Emma was able to go to work with grandma a few times and be spoiled a little bit. She loves having coffee and giant chocolate chip muffins while grandma was busy. I think there was also a fair amount of singing to the 'Frozen' soundtrack going on as well.

I enjoyed some quiet time on the porch while kiddos napped.

It wasn't warm enough to spend much time on the water, but we were able to get in a boat ride in too.

Loved being able to visit, hope we get to make another trip back before summer is over!

Fam Resemblance

Everyone is always going back and forth about who Miss Elissa looks like. I personally think she is a great mix of us both. I can still see a lot of me in her. Her complexion is more olive tone which she gets from her daddy's side. Other than her skin tone and her darker hair, she is a spittin' image of her big sibs. Here's a close up comparison for you:

Think they are related?

And Then There Were 3

Yesterday Emma was beside her self, she just had to show me something. So imagine my surprise when I found this by my front porch:

Our sweet little barn kitty is a mama now...

10 Months

Only two more months and my baby will be one- this mommy isn't ready for that milestone yet! The past few months have been so busy I haven't been able to capture our typical monthly photos.

The past month you made one more relatively big road trip, gained another tooth on top and started to say 'mama' {melt my heart}. You are still not crawling, but that doesn't slow you down any. Between wiggling rolling and scooting on your butt you seem to get where you want to go.

You are still in a lot of 6 month clothing, although we are using more nine month stuff as well since the warm weather has finally arrived! Cloth diapers are still on the mid rise and we are still using size 3 disposables when needed. When we took you in to the doctor for an ear infection this past month you were weighing in at just over 16 pounds fully dressed.

Not much change in eating or sleeping habits these days. Two naps during the day if our crazy schedule allows it. Down between 7:30-9 at night until 7:30-8 with two feedings in between. You love to eat table food, specifically fruit and meat. We still haven't mastered the sippy cup, but mommy will keep trying!

Even though I'm not ready for you to be a 'baby' anymore, I love seeing you grow and develop your little personality. You are such a hunny, full of giggles and smiles for everyone (as long as mommy is within sight). We love you sugar pie!
