This Kid...

Emma is always utilizing our office to craft. She is constantly coming up with various creations. Every once and a while she will ask me to write something out for her so I didn't think anything of it when she asked me (on two separate occasions) to write something out on a sticky note for her. Later I found this in the office:

I have to give her an 'A' for effort. She even made sure to tape up the bottom of the toilet paper tube to collect the change. Now I know why we go through toilet paper so quickly in our house!

Future Music Maker?

Miss Elissa loved pounding the keys on a keyboard at my grandma's house this weekend. Another possible musician in our house?

Easton's First 'Real' Owie

So I've been told boys can get crazy. Expect lots of bumps and bruises. Truthfully, that's already been the case for miss Emma. I'm not ready for hospital visits though. Or stitches. Broken bones, no thanks.

Looking back on last night, I realize it wasn't that bad. Bedtime is always chaotic, I was frazzled and the blood made me panic. Easton and Emma were playing in his room while I put Elissa to bed. He jumped on to his bean bag and missed. The corner of a shelf made contact with his head though.

Emma came into my room to tell me he hit his head and he wasn't far behind. I won't lie, the sight of blood dripping done his forehead made my heart stop momentarily.
Of course Jason was working and all I had are dollar store band aides in the house (the ones I don't mind handing out for the owie that's barely there). I loaded up all the kiddos at 8:00 at night and headed to the Food Center for bandages. We must have looked like quite the sight- everyone in jammies, I was frazzled and Easton and I both had blood all over us.
Easton wasn't too fazed by his boo-boo by the time we got home. I patched it up and put him to bed without a hitch. I did go back in several times throughout the night to check on him. I think the ordeal got me worked up more than him. The main reason I wanted special band aides was to minimize scarring. He ended up with a small scar on his forehead and is none the worse for the wear.

Monster Jam

We took the kids to Grand Rapids to watch monster trucks to past weekend. Emma complained for hours before hand that it was going to be too loud. All the way up until about a half hour into the show. Then she decided it wasn't too bad.

Jason thought it was stupid. While the venue doesn't allow for anything terribly amazing, to our kiddos it was pretty impressive.

Easton and Elissa both managed to catch a cat nap during the show as well. I still can't fathom how they could sleep with all that noise going on...
Not sure what this face is about, but it made me laugh!

Now Easton is staying busy at home trying to jump his own 'monter'.

Lil' Bundle of Energy

This little sweetie may not be able to sit up completely on her own, but take her any where near her jumper and away she goes! I think this may be a sign of things to come...

Another Round of Selfies

This kid totally cracks me up. The other day I left her play with the iPad for a little bit. A few days later I was going through pics and found all these:

Totally made me giggle, love her!

Sib Lovin'

I'm not going to lie, some days my kidlets drive me crazy. They fight, they kick, they yell. Yet when I catch these sweet moments together, you realize it's all worth it.

They won't always get along, but they will always have each other :)

7 Months

Happy seven months sweet babe!
This past month we celebrated your baptism along with your big brothers second birthday. Some days prove to be busier than others and mommy wonders if we will make it through. Then other days I'm left wishing I could freeze time right where we are at. As you continue to grow I look forward to each new stage while also mourning the passing of one. It's so bittersweet!

Mommy is just about ready to give up on any form of schedule. Between teeth, colds and planning around everyone else's schedule it is so hard to have anything consistent for you. Typically you get one short nap in the morning and a longer one some time in the afternoon. On a good day that is. You've also started to rub your head when your super tired just like your big brother used to do.

Most of your diapers are on the middle setting now and we are still using size two disposables at night. I think when this package is gone we will move on to a size three. Clothes are all 6 months now with the exception of a few 3-6 month sleepers you still fit in.
We started solid foods this past month. So far there hasn't been a single fruit you did not like. Peas are definitely not your favorite, but you like carrots, squash and sweet potatoes. You still nurse 6-7 times a day.
You still haven't mastered sitting up alone, but you are getting so.close! When you are laying on the floor you have figured out how to wiggle around on your back, so you do get around a little bit. At the end of the month you cut the middle two bottom teeth through as well.
You have become such a busy little girl!
